Nanoworkshop 2023 – A look back and ahead

It was a pleasure to welcome 50 participants from 12 countries to the Nanoworkshop 2023, held at the picturesque Plön castle from September 12-15, 2023. Following the tradition of the workshop series, many inspiring presentations (including invited talks from Lidia Martinez, Salih Veziroglu, Maria Chiara Spadaro, Ana Borras, Shun Yu & Jaroslav Kousal), a vibrant poster session (with the KiNSIS poster prize awarded to Kristian Reck) and intense in-depth discussions among the participants created a stimulating, trusting and productive atmosphere – a crucial ingredience for the success of the workshop. In this spirit, we would like to thank all participants, contributors and helpers for their invaluable contribution. We hope to meet you again at the upcoming Nanoworkshop 2025, hosted by Lidia Martinez and Ana Borras in Spain.

While originally, the focus was put on polymer based nanocomposites, over the years it was extended to functional nanocomposites in general. Topics range from advanced preparation techniques and new material properties to industrial applications and include experimental and theoretical work.
